Pay It Forward

Earlier this month while visiting  My Cozy Cottage World I found this gorgeous idea for a giveaway called “Pay It Forward”. It’s a lovely way of giving away gifts and receiving them.

Today I received my gift from Debbie at My Cozy Cottage World. She hand made it herself and it’s so lovely to receive a beautiful gift from someone halfway across the globe.

Debbie packed the gifts nicely, wrapped in a white scallop edged kerchief and tied with pink and white ribbons. Thank you Debbie for the gorgeous notebook, giftags and card …. just beautiful :)

Now, would You like to take part? It’s so easy. Here is how it works –

  • To the first 3 interested bloggers who respond that they would like to be a part of this, I will be sending a gorgeous something to each of them.
  • You MUST leave me a comment on this post to let me know you are interested in joining.
  • I responded to Debbie’s post. Now I hope you will respond to my post! The first three of you who leave a comment on this post here at EP DESIGNS will get something from me in the mail.
  • Then those first three bloggers who responded to me, promise to pass it along or “Pay It Forward” to the first three who respond to their post…and on and on it goes.

Small Business Tips

Small businesses need all the help they can get …. it’s nice to have help when you need it.

HEART HARMONY is one of those sites full of good, small business tips. Heart Harmony are freelance copywriters who specialise in writing web copy for your websites. They write powerful web words that get you found in search engines, generate traffic and attract more customers.

A whole range of topics can be found here so if you’re a small business it’s well worth a visit to this blog. Sometimes business blogs can be overcrowded with inforamtion making it difficult for the eye to read through, but I find HEART HARMONY  easy to navigate and easy on the eye, which means you can read more and take in more information. It suits me because I’m not too keen on sites with a ‘confusion’ of material.

Enjoy your visit there.

Shabby Vintage

When I found this urn shaped item in an opp shop I couldn’t work out what was its original use. It didn’t seem quite right as a planter – perhaps an ice bucket? Well whatever its original purpose it’s been recreated … but you decide what it can be used for.

I’ve decoupaged roses around its body giving the entire piece a shabby vintage finish.

Recreated Compote

~

dd-compot-2bb.JPGI haven’t posted any of my recreated treasures for a while so here is one of my favourites. A tall compote and ex silver ware. The design is simple but the shape is an elegant one. I’ve given this compote a marbly mix of colours on a cream background and trimmed the edges with stylised gold fleur di lis.

An elegant piece which can stand on its own as a decor item. It will look equally decorative filled with delicious sweets, chocolates, fruits or with a gorgeous mix of jewellery. Its One-Of-A-Kind, a gorgeous decorative treasure and an EP DESIGNS recreation.

Ciao for now,

Elena :)

Your Dream Business and the One In Five Club

Is your business part of the One In Five Club? So, what’s this club? Well, if you don’t want to lose your dream business then it’s not the club you want to join. What you need is then is a guiding hand to help you on the road to business success.

Business plans tend to ‘frightened’ away some business owners, for various reasons, but possibly because we usually don’t know where to start or how to put one together, or it simply may be that we don’t think we really need one. Planning plays a major role in determining whether your business succeeds or fails.  According to Donna-Marie Coggins from Jacaranda Business Support

Without a focused, tailored business plan your business is far more likely to join the One In Five Club – one in five small businesses fail within the first five years.

If business planning is one of those things you’d rather not think about then it’s always best to get the experts in to help, support and guide you along. Donna-Marie has a business support service and I’m sure she would be happy to answer any queries about business planning and the reasons for having one. Her blog Small Business Diva is also full of useful business tips which can help you in the everyday running and organising of your business.

Every now and then we need to do a check on how we’re managing our business and if it’s working. An ‘outsider’, preferably an expert can usually see things about your business that you don’t. It’s worth to have them help out even if it’s periodically and to point you in the right direction.

Make a note of Jacaranda Business Support – you may need them some day.

Ciao,

Elena :)
